Day 1: Arrival

After you arrive in Tribhuvan Internation Airport, our driver will pick you from the arrival gates. Then you will be dropped at the hotel. Our executives will offer you welcome drinks at the hotel. Then a brief overview of the tour itinerary will be provided to you. In the evening you can stroll around the busy streets of Thamel. Stay overnight in the capital city.

 

Day 2: Kathmandu sightseeing

In terms of tourism, the capital city shows something exciting to offer. Kathmandu has been no exception in terms of surprises. This cosmopolitan city is located in the foothills of the Himalayas. It is one of the ancient cities located in the country woven with old history and cultural stories. It is a multiethnic city with people of different religions staying in harmony. Kathmandu is well known among the tourists for its historical relics. If you spend a few hours a day, then you will explore a few sites dated back from primitive times. It has a total of seven world’s heritage sites as listed by UNESCO. It is a city where you will find pilgrimage sites of different religious values as well.

After taking breakfast, you will be going for the guided tour of the capital city. The travelers who love to study historical facts will definitely enjoy the city of Kathmandu due to its highest number of world heritage sites. You will be going for the darshan of Pashupatinath. This place holds a view of religious and spiritual values. You will encounter different hermits practicing penance in the holy shrine. The cremations are also carried out in the holy river of Bagmati. Unless the Hindus, no one is allowed to visit the temple premise. Pashupatinath is the national deity of the country and it comes under the list of UNESCO’s world heritage sites list. On Maha Shivaratri, more than 1 million devotees visit the sacred temple of Pashupatinath. Prachanda Dev from Lichchavi dynasty built this temple in the 5th century. In the temple complex, you will find other temples, ashrams, and monuments as well. You will stay overnight at the hotel.

After this, you will be visiting Patan. You will be followed the visit with Lalitpur, the second largest town located in the valley on the shore of the River Bagmati. You will encounter beautiful ancient architectural masterpieces in the city. Next, you will be visiting the Durbar square. It is mostly the square of temple squad located in the central part of the capital city. In the city, you will find the refugee center of Tibetan community. Here, you will find out the cultural practice of the Tibetan people as well. You will find the carpet industry is the main resources of income for these Tibetan communities. You can also buy beautiful carpets from these local shops. Next, you will be visiting Swayambhunath stupa which is ornamented with beautiful prayer flags. You will see a beautiful overview of the capital city from the top of the stupa. This place is equally visited by both the Hindus and the Buddhists.

 

Day 3: Kathmandu to Namobuddha

Distance: 40kms (2-3hrs)

Today you will be traveling to Nambuddha, a small village located in Kathmandu valley. It is located around 40kms away from the capital city. This beautiful village is located at an elevation of 1750m. For Buddhists, this holy shrine is famous for its generosity. Lord Buddha in one of his previous births as Mahasattva surrendered his body to a starving tigress which was unable to serve food to its underfed cubs. This legendary folklore is depicted vividly on the stone slab. Mostly it is an hour hike from Dhapasi to reach Namo Buddha. On your hiking path, you will cross across the Newari villages. This holy site is famous for the compassionate attitude of the Lord Buddha. The tourists travel to the top of the hill to get a panoramic view of the mountains along with the surrounding villages. Unlike other travel itineraries, this Namo Buddha tour is added in this plan to show the compassionate world of Buddhism. In elderly ages, people start to perceive the world in a different manner. So we want our clients to think in such a way. We will organize a camping tent in Namo Buddha, at night you will stay there.

 

Day 4: Namobuddha to Balthali village

The very next day you will be getting ready for your next stretch of the journey. As the elderly people will be taking part in the trek, therefore, one will be enjoying the scenic beauty in the northeast part of the capital city. This short aligned trek to Balthali village will offer you some delightful topography. The main livelihood of the villages is agriculture. Therefore, one has to be dependent mostly on these rice terrace farming. Your short hiking will take you to the cultural lifestyles of the ethnic people living in this area. There is a famous monastery located near Balthali village. One can go for meditation purpose as well. The tranquility of the place will completely make you fall in love with the beautiful landscape of Nepal. At night you will stay in the Balthali village resort or we can arrange a camping tent for you inside the village.

 

Day 5: Balthali village to Phulchoki danda

Meal: B/L/D

Altitude: 2740m

Distance: 14.2km

Mode of transport: trekking

Today is a small hiking day to Phulchoki, another hill station located at an elevation of 2782m. If you are traveling during the months of winter then you will definitely enjoy the snowfall in Phulchoki. If you are a staunch lover of nature, then today you will be exploring for the beauty of nature closely. The dense forests surrounding the mountains will definitely take you to a wildlife tour. These dense forests have different species of birds and animals. At the top of the hill, you will visit the holy shrine of Phulchoki Mai. For a whole one month, a religious festival is celebrated on the hills to please Mother Nature. You will enjoy your adventurous hiking trail across green forests. You can spend a few hours enjoying the stunning beauty of nature. The chirping of the birds along with the panoramic view of the mountains will give you the best hiking experience. Everyone hikes to the top of the hill to enjoy the birds-eye view of Kathmandu valley. At night you will stay in the campsite.

 

Day 6: Phulchoki Danda to Lele Gaon

Meal: B/L/D

Altitude: 1450m

Distance: 22km

Mode of transport: trekking

As you will be staying the previous night in Phulchoki Danda, then you should witness amazing sunrise views in the mountains. The first rays of the sun across the mountains give the best kind of view. After enjoying such a breathtaking view of the mountains you will be coming back to the hotel. After breakfast, you will start for the day. Today you will be hiking across the village called Lele, a small village located in Kathmandu valley. During the period of Licchavi dynasty, many stone pillars were led in this place.

In recent times, the residents of the village engage in different industries like mines, bakeries, brick factories and other small scale businesses. Mostly agriculture is the main livelihood of the people living in the village. They engage in the traditional form of farming. While hiking across the village, one can engage in conversation with the villagers. At night you will stay in Lele gaon in camps.

 

Day 7: Lele Gaon to Kathmandu

Meal: Complimentary breakfast  

Distance: 21km (1.5hrs)

Today early in the morning, you can go for birth watching in a nearby campsite. You can get the warmth of nature and you will definitely love this inner beauty of it. After breakfast, you will be driving back to Kathmandu. It will be an hour-long smooth drive treasuring beautiful memories back home.
