Day  - 01 – Kathmandu  Arrival  and Transfer to Hotel

You will be warmly welcomed by our driver at the gateway of the airport. Then the driver will drop you at the hotel. The executives will welcome you with soft drinks. Then with a brief discussion on the itinerary, you can take a tour in the neighborhood of Kathmandu. It is the city where one finds a complete blend of traditional and urban settlement. The capital city is quite famous for its amazing food and nightlife culture. Casinos are one of the most exciting places to go to Kathmandu. Only foreign nationals are allowed to enter these casinos. Thamel is one of the exhilarating places to explore in Kathmandu. One can try out local Nepalese delicacies from the local shops.

 

Day - 02 - Sightseeing around Kathmandu

After enjoying good food for your breakfast, you will then start for the day. According to the old scriptures, Kathmandu is one of the oldest cities that will show you the ruins of ancient times. The primitiveness of the city will completely mesmerize you. You will start unraveling its mystery with your heritage walk. Start your day with Pashupatinath darshan. It is the national deity of the country. The religious temple shrine of Pashupatinath is located on the beautiful banks of Bagmati River. The temple complex is one of the most popular religious sites to be visited by the pilgrims of different religious beliefs. Inside the temple complex, one finds out temples devoted to different gods and goddesses. During the 5th century, Prachanda Dev, Lichchavi King erected the temple. With times, the temple was decayed until it is the oldest Hindu temple of the country. The deity Pashupatinath gained fame among the devotees as the Lord of Pashus. In Hindu mythology, darshan plays an important role to bring the devotees close to the devoted god. The ornamented pagoda styled temple still symbolizes the base of Shaivaism. After visiting such amazing temple architecture you will be going for the next stop.

Then you will be visiting Swayambhunath stupa, a marvelous symbol of Buddhism. The beautiful temple is located at the top of the hill in the valley of Kathmandu. From the hilltop, one can get a spectacular view of the valley as a whole. The Buddhist Newars believe this mythological place as the central most location in practicing Buddhism. Within the complex of the stupa, one finds out small temple shrines venerated during the Licchavi period. The main attraction of the stupa among the pilgrims is due to its wide eye sights. The compassion that one can feel in the eyes of Buddha painted on the walls of Stupa is quite famous. It is said that most of the iconography in Swayambhunath got its influence form Vajrayana School of thoughts of Newar Buddhism. Even the Hindus prefer to visit this worldly recognized location for its calm and serenity.

In the evening if you have ample time then you can visit Pashupatinath temple for witnessing the evening prayer. The cool breeze of Bagmati River and the soothing sounds of prayer bells will make your spirits light. You will enjoy the calmness of the ambiance around you. If you are traveling during the time of Maha Shivratri, then you will definitely encounter thousands of devotees traveling to this place for seeking the blessings of Pashupatinath.

Day -  03 - Sightseeing tour around Bhaktapur & Patan

After taking your breakfast start your second stretch of the journey. These two ancient cities are located in the eastern part of Kathmandu. While traveling to Nepal, traditional and ethnicity will completely amaze you. The old structures, scriptures, monuments will definitely give you an overview of the ancient time. UNESCO listed this city as one of the world’s heritage sites. Newar people make a settlement on this place. This place is famous for its spectacular craftsmanship in making pottery, masks and other items. If you are lucky enough then you can confront the mask dances as well in these places. It is said that both these cities are preserved quite well by the government of Nepal.

Today you will be visiting Bhaktapur and Patan. The historical courtyard of Bhaktapur was constructed just in front of the magnificent palace of Bhaktapur kingdom. In this site, you will find out an art gallery, golden gate, 55 window palace, states of Malla kings and many more. In the walls of Bhaktapur Durbar, you will find out astounding figures made out of stone and wood carvings. Later you will be visiting Patan Durbar square. Here you will encounter the marvelous works of Newar architecture. The red bricks floors and numerous temples and idols will give you an overall idea of the religious practices at ancient time. The Malla kings constructed this amazing royal square to showcase his extravagance. Few remarkable temples inside the Durbar square are Krishna Mandir, Bhimsen Mandir, Vishwanath Mandir, and Taleju Bhawani temple. After this day tour to these ancient cities, you will be coming back to Kathmandu

 

Day - 04 – Transfer to Pokhara

Today early in the morning you will be traveling to Pokhara located in the western part of the capital city. It is the second largest city and the tourism capital of Nepal. The tourists travel to this amazing place to encounter the different adventurous sports located in the valley. It is the paradise for the mountain lovers as it is the gateway for most of the trekking trails like EBC, Annapurna. While driving to this mountainous city, you will find the amazing sights of the mountains like Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Manaslu. After checking into the hotel, before the sunset,, you can visit Phewa Lake. Enjoying the crimson red sky and the reflection of the surrounding mountains on the water of the lake will be a lifetime experience for you. The beauty of nature will surpass your short trip to this mystic place. At night you will stay in Pokhara.

 

Day - 05 – Sightseeing at Pokhara

Today you will be confronting the sunrise in the mountains. Early morning you will be driving to Sarangkot. The serenity of nature will bring an amazing experience for the tourists’ altogether. The mesmerizing sight of the first sun rays from the corners of the mountains will engrave in your mind. You will cherish the beauty of nature for lifelong. After enjoying such an amazing sight you will be coming back to Pokhara. After completing your breakfast, you will start your day tour around Pokhara. First, you will be visiting Bindebashini temple. Kaski rulers built this beautiful temple in the city. Inside the sanctum of the temple is devoted to Goddess Durga. After visiting the temple, you will be visiting the local marketplace. The old bazaar premise is quite famous for selling local handicraft items. Later you will be visiting Patale Chongo, cascading waterfalls known as Davis Falls among the tourists is one of the major locations to visit in Pokhara. You can enjoy the marvelous sight of gushing water of Davis Falls. During monsoons, the falls take more gigantic shape with wild water. Next, you will be visiting Gupteshwar Cave, located on the opposite side of Davis Fall. This cave will be surprising for you to explore its natural beauty. On the dark uneven walls of the cave, you will find out natural deposits of limestone. You will treasure those memories in your mind.

Optional: if you want to enjoy the thrill of the adventure, then you must indulge in the adventurous sports located in Pokhara. Paragliding and bungee jumping are the two most enthralling sports practiced here. The adventurous sports and thrill of mountains will be a nice combination to explore by the tourists. Many tourists indulge in ultra-light flight across the mountains. On these small aircraft, the tourist will be traveling alone with the pilot. It is an enticing experience to fly across the mountains and feel the cool breeze in higher altitude. Similarly one can also do river rafting in the white waters. On the course, people get good numbers of rapids as well.

Day - 06 – Pokhara to Nagarkot Transfer

Today early in the morning you will be driving to Nagarkot via Kathmandu. This place is famous for its sunrise view of the Himalayas. The mountains look amazing with the first rays of the sun. When you will encounter the highest peak of the world and the rising sun on the snow-capped peaks, it will transcend the expression of beauty. Mostly the travelers wish to travel there to enjoy the natural beauty of the mountains and the serenity present across it. From the top of the mountains, one can also get a view of the Indrawati river valley located to the east. This tributary of Sun Koshi River flows across the steep gradient slopes forming large rapids. The lush green meadows will be a soothing experience for nature lovers. The travelers mostly visit Nagarkot for enjoying the extensive beauty of nature that is incapable to express. As you will be reaching there post lunch, then you can go for the sun set. The amazing panoramic view of the mountains and the sunset will be an enticing encounter. You will stay in Nagarkot at night.

 

Day – 07 - Departure from Nagarkot to Kathmandu Airport - Early Morning watch sunrise

Today you have reached the last stretch of your journey. You can get up early in the morning to witness the beauty of sunrise on the laps of Dhaulagiri and Kanchenjunga for one last time. After completing breakfast, our driver will leave for your homebound journey. You will be taking your flight from Kathmandu airport. Three hours prior to the journey you will be dropped at the airport. If you have ample time then you can go for shopping in the local markets to buy memoirs for your loved ones.
