Day 1: Arrival

After reaching Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be picked up by the driver. Then you will be welcomed with warm or cool beverages during the time of checking into the hotel. Our representative will brief you with the itinerary. In the evening after a small introduction, you can go for evening strolling across the streets of the capital city. In the evening you can go to Thamel for enjoying the nightlife culture of the pubs and restaurants. Kathmandu is the city where you can try out your luck in the casinos. International travelers are quite interested in trying out their lucks in gambling. It is the reason why such a large number of casinos develops around the capital city. The Nepal government put a ban on the residents of the country to enter the casino. Only foreign travelers can enjoy popular casino culture.

If someone has a religious or spiritual bend of mind, he can visit Pashupatinath temple in the evening. The cool breeze of Bagmati River along with chimes of prayer bell will make your evening calm and soothing.

Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing

After enjoying ravishing breakfast you will be going for sightseeing around Kathmandu. It is one of the oldest cities of the country with a complete amalgamation of the people all across religion. It is one of the cultural sites quite famous for its historical artifacts. Mostly the people follow Hinduism widely but other religions like Bon Po, Jainism and Buddhism also exist in the capital city. It has seven cultural heritage sites as per UNESCO’s world heritage sites.

You will be visiting Pashupatinath temple, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath and Kathmandu Durbar square today. Boudhanath Stupa is one of the largest stupas located in Nepal. This stupa is listed under the world’s heritage sites made by UNESCO. This stupa route was used earlier as the trade route to enter the Kathmandu valley. It stands as a symbol of peace. This pilgrimage site is quite famous among the Buddhist followers. The Licchavi kings built this monument in the 14th century after the demise of Lord Buddha. The followers offer their prayers in the stupa. The Nepalese calls this stupa ChortenGhenpo meaning the great stupa. The refugees from China migrated to Kathmandu and from that time onwards the place became an important site.

Pashupatinath temple is one of the most important Hindu pilgrimage sites located on the banks of River Bagmati. It is believed to be 12 jyotirlingas all across India. In the temple, the head of Lord Shiva is placed. It is the soulful reasons for the Hindus to go to this place.  The idol of the temple is the mukhalinga covered by the serpent. The linga has four faces that are looking at the four directions. If you are an ardent lover of art and architecture then you will be completely amazed by the wooden craft design of the temple wall.

After taking lunch, you will be driving to Patan Durbar Square. This place is located in the Lalitpur district of Nepal. It has the impacts of Newar architecture. You will find out the squared shaped floor made of red bricks. The Malla kings built this area. You will be completely thrilled to look at these architectural structures.

You next halt will be Hiranya Varna Mahavihar. It is the golden colored monastery located in Patan district of Nepal. In this monastery, you can feed the rats. King BhaskarVarman built this pagoda for the respect of Shakyamuni Buddha. In the monastery, you will find the beautiful golden image along with a prayer wheel.

Next, you will be going to Golden Temple Mahabouddha for its marvelous carvings on the wall. This monument was built in the 14th century with clay bricks. This temple was built under the influence of the Shikhara style. You will find beautiful works on terracotta covering the image of Lord Buddha. This temple is built following the architecture of Mahabouddha temple located in Bodhgaya.

At night you will stay in Kathmandu.

 

Day 3: Mountain flight to Everest and then sightseeing

Today you will be taking an early morning flight to the Himalayas. It will be an amazing experience for you as you will be taking the flight to catch the glimpse of the mountains of Nepal. This early morning flight will be life-changing experience as the tourists will be flying very close to the highest peaks in the world. The exquisite landscape will make your short flight a memorable journey.

After reaching the hotel, you will be going for the cultural tour around Patan. Today you will be visiting Khokana and Bungmati villages located in the southern part of Patan. You will be crossing the Tibetan Refugee Camp on your way to these villages. In Bungmati, you will be visiting Matsyendranth, lord of compassion and rain. Both Buddhists and Hindus worship this lord. The main priests keep the idol of the temple for 3-4 months in the temple of Patan and the rest in the temple in Bungmati.

Khokana is also small Newar village located around 5-6 km away from Bungamati. The cobbled street of Khokana and the temple of Shekali Mai is an amazing place to visit. While visiting these places, you will closely encounter the Newar Village. You will be visiting Patan Durbar Square for its beautiful architectural artifacts.

At night you will be staying in Kathmandu.

 

Day 4: Thimi, Bhaktapur, Changu Narayan, and Nagarkot

Early in the morning after the lavishing breakfast, you will be driving to MadhyapurThimi. This beautiful city is 10kms towards the east of Kathmandu. It is located in the Bagmati zone in the Bhaktapur district. In Nepalese old scriptures, this city was mentioned for its trade route between Bhaktapur and Kathmandu. The foreign tourists are quite interested in exploring the potteries. The people of Thimi are called Prajapati who are involved mostly in the pottery business. Apart from visiting these pottery shops, one must visit Balkumari temple. The residents of Nepal worship the idols of this temple. It is believed that the temple is 300 years old. The three-storeyed temple of Balkumari is believed to the guardian deity of Thimi.

Later you will be traveling to Bhaktapur. If you are an ardent follower of art and architecture then you must visit this place. The cultural lifestyle of the city will delight you completely. The cobbled narrow streets will take you to a cultural tour of the city. Post lunch you will be traveling to Changu Narayan temple. It is the oldest temple located in Nepal. To reach the temple, one has to travel across farmlands and villages. One can interact with local people and their lifestyle on their way to temple. After visiting the temple, you will be driving to Nagarkot. It is a small city located at the top of the hill. Mostly the tourists are interested in going there for its sunrise and sunset views. One can catch the glimpse of some of the highest peaks from this location. You will stay overnight in Nagarkot.

 

Day 5: Drive to Daman

Today you will be driving to Daman. Located around 80kms towards the south of Kathmandu, this beautiful city has beautiful rhododendron forests. This tourist location is famous for its beautiful mountains sights. The natural beauty has made this place more recognized among the tourists.  The panoramic view of Dhaulagiri in the west and Mt. Everest in the east will be an amazing sight to relish. From this vantage point, one can view the sights of Cho Oyu, Gauri Shankar, DorjeLakpa, Manaslu, Annapurna and Mt. Everest. Spend the day in enjoying the traditional Nepali cultural program. Nepal has its own cultural heritage, and you will definitely enjoy such cultural artifacts. At night you will stay in Daman.

 

Day 6: Drive to Bandipur

Today early in the morning, you will be driving to Bandipur. This historical trail is located between Pokhara and Kathmandu route. This Newar town has its own beauty in Bandipur is still keeping its ecstasy intact. Like Daman, one can catch the glimpse of beautiful panoramic views of a few of the highest mountain paks of the world from here. While strolling across the street, one can actually encounter the Newari culture closely. It is believed that the town is a kind of living museum devoted to Newari culture. Till date while traveling to Bandipur, one can see how beautifully Newari architectural influences are present within the local houses. The wooden windows in carved style and the overhanging roofs make the town as the living history of such culture. You will be visiting Siddha Cave. At night you will stay in Bandipur.

 

Day 7: Drive to Pokhara and sightseeing

Today you will be leaving Bandipur for your next location called Pokhara. It is a 60km drive towards this Lake city. It is believed to be one of the most interesting locations among foreign travelers. Many travelers drive to Pokhara to indulge in adventurous sports like paragliding, ultralight flight, parasailing, bungee jumping and many more. In the city, one will find numerous lakes known as Tal. You can do boating in Phewa Lake. For the hikers and mountaineers, this route is used for Annapurna Circuit region. Post lunch, you will be going for local market shopping, old bazaars. In the evening, one can also roam around the lake region as well. Stay overnight in Pokhara.

 

Day 8: Full day Pokhara sightseeing along with sarangkot sunrise

Today early morning you will be driving to Sarangkot Hill. This location is quite famous among the tourists for its breathtaking sunrise and sunset view. The first sunrise on the mountains has been a memorable experience to share. After watching the sunrise, you will be driving back to the hotel. The foreign travelers want to enjoy the serenity of nature in the laps of the mountains.

After taking breakfast, today you will be going for sightseeing around Pokhara. You will be visiting Bindebasini temple at first. It is one of the earliest temples located in the city of Pokhara. Kaski rulers built this temple. Goddess Durga is the prime deity of the temple. You will get a complete view of the Himalayas as well from this region. In the area of the local bazaar, you will find out the temple. With the visit to the temple, you will be visiting the old bazar premises as well. You will also go for visiting a waterfall called PataleChongo, located around 2kms away in the southwest direction of Pokhara. In the summers and monsoons, you will get the view of the gushing water falling from the waterfall. Next, you will be visiting the Gupteshwar cave, located just on the opposite side of the fall. If you are an ardent lover of architecture, then you will find this cave fascinating due to its natural forms made out of the deposits of limestone. You cannot take photographs in the premises of the caves. You will stay overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 9: Drive to Tansen and Lumbini

Distance:  Pokhara to Tansen: 129km (5hrs); Tansen to Lumbini: 45km (1.5hrs)

Today you will be driving towards Tansen. This small town is located around 125km from Pokhara. This municipal town is located on the western part of Nepal in Palpa district. It is located on the lesser Himalayas on the beautiful Kaligandaki river valley. If you will get time to know more about the Newari culture, then you will be completely amazed at such beauty. This place is also famous for Nepali cap popularly known as Topi and handwoven Dhaka clothe. You will be enjoying beautiful panoramic views of the mountains on the surrounding. Post lunch you will be driving to Lumbini. This small town is famous for the birthplace of Buddha. You will have to drive around 75km to reach Lumbini from Tansen. At night you will stay in Lumbini.

 

Day 10: Lumbini sightseeing

Early morning after breakfast, you will be taking a historical tour. This place is important equally for the pilgrims coming from every section of the world. Lord Buddha stands out for its non-violence path. If you are keen to know more about Buddhist philosophy, then you will be enjoying this place a lot. Firstly you will be visiting Mayadevi temple. The temple was constructed in a very position where Lord Buddha took birth. You will be going to visit other historical monuments like Buddhist temples, Ashokan Pillars. In Lumbini, a different school of Buddhist philosophy is taught. The foreign travelers can engage in this kind of regular discussion. The devotees across countries come here to learn about the life of Buddha. At night stay in Lumbini.

 

Day 11: Drive to Chitwan

Today you will be driving to the national park of Nepal. It is located around 180km from Lumbini. Post lunch you will be visiting the local Tharu village. The Tharu people are the ethnic group of people who live near the park. After interacting with these people, you will do canoeing on the Rapti River. The dusky ambiance and experiencing sunset in the deep of subtropical jungle will be an altogether different experience. In the evening, the ethnic people will be performing for you with tribal drums and stick dances. At night you will be staying in Chitwan.

 

Day 12: Chitwan sightseeing

In the morning today, you will be going for jungle safari. According to UNESCO, it is one of the world’s heritage sites. In this jungle safari, you will find out the natural conservation of the endangered species. In this national park located on the foothills of the Himalayas, this jungle safari will take you to view sloth bears, leopards, dolphins, bison, rhinoceros, and migratory birds and different butterfly species. If you are lucky enough then you can view the gharials' crocodiles on the shore of the river. Other than jungle safari, you can also indulge in other elephant ridings, elephant bathing, bird watching and canoe riding as well. At night you will stay in Chitwan.

 

Day 13: Fly to Kathmandu

Nepal Visa - The passport holders of India do not require any Nepal Visa. They must carry their Voter ID card or passport (For Indians).

The foreigners will get Nepal Visa on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport. One can also manual apply and online apply just to avoid the long queue.

 

Transportation: If you are booking your Nepal tour via Nepal Tourism Package, then you will get cars like Toyota Etios, Skoda Rapid, Volkswagen Polo, Tata Manza or similar kind of cars for 1-3 persons. Cars like Tourist Van (Toyota Hiace) or Jeep or Scorpio will be allotted for 10 persons. We will provide Green Plate vehicles for our tourists.

 

Recommendation - Some tourists avail flight on way to Pokhara from Kathmandu. It is advisable to take at least one way via road to enjoy the enchanting beauty of the natural landscape of Nepal.
