The city has shown its own charm to the travelers. After small interaction and briefing, one can stroll around the city. As you will be tired due to flight, you can start your evening in the amazing streets of Thamel. It is one of the commercialized streets located near the capital city of Kathmandu. While traveling to the streets of Thamel, you will get a kaleidoscopic vision. For the last four decades, the alleys of Thamel are famous for selling different attractive objects. It is a hub of restaurants, cafes, hotels, and bars. You will be completely astonished by the dynamic traffic-free zone as well as horn-free zone.
After coming back to the hotel, an exquisite dinner program will be arranged for the tourists. You will also get introduced with art, culture, and lifestyle of the locals. A cultural program will be organized for our honorable guests.
Day 2: Kathmandu

After breakfast, you will be going to nearby Newar villages and Patan Durbar Square. In this itinerary, we focus on exploring the cultural artifacts of the country properly to the tourists.
Khokana and Bungmati: Newaris are the aboriginals of Nepal. It is believed they held the cultural capital of the country. They have their own linguistic and cultural history and they believe to carry such artifacts of life. It is believed they are the true curators of the culture, civilization, and religion of Nepal. Bungmati is a small village lying around 6km away in the southern direction of Patan. This medieval town is the land of Macchindranth, god of compassion and rain. In the valley, this god is quite prominent among the farmers. It is the town where the god is worshipped for better paddy and rice plantations. Both the Hindus and the Buddhists pray to this god for better crop cultivation.
Khokana is another village located around 20-30 minutes’ walk from Bungamati village. This is also another small town in Lalitpur district. Since time immemorial this village is famous for rice mustard oil production. The etymological meaning of the world Khokana is “telling while weeping”. There is folklore relating to this village how the couple ran away from the village as everyone considers them as a bad omen and the couple was thrown away from the village. The weeping of the couple led the name of this place as Khokana. This ancient town religiously worships in Rudrayani temple. This temple is located in ChweLachi square. The main idol of the temple is the manifestation of goddess Durga. Amar Malla during the 1570s built this three storied temple with prominent skills of handicrafts. Every year on Dashain festival’s first seven days, RudrayaniJatra is performed. This jatra is also known as ShikaliJatra. These two villages are visited by the tourists to know more details about the Newari culture in the valley.
Patan Durbar Square: after visiting these places, you will be going to Lalitpur to visit one of the UNESCO’s world heritage sites. This ancient place is the remarkable specimen for Newari architecture. The cobbled floors with red bricks are quite marvelous to look at. Malla Kings of Lalitpur established this royal square during the 1600s. Inside the temple complex, one can find various temples devoted to different gods and goddesses. If you are an ardent follower of architecture then you will be completely amazed at the beautiful skills of handicrafts within the square. You will feel like engaging in the rich histories of Newari culture and their cultural and architectural heritage. The wooden, metal and stone carvings of Patan Durbar Square will be an enticing visual experience.

After breakfast, today you will be going to visit the most prominent pilgrimage sites in Kathmandu. Today you will be going to visit Pashupatinath and Boudhanath stupa.
Boudhanath Stupa is one of the largest stupas located in Nepal. This stupa is listed under the world’s heritage sites made by UNESCO. This stupa route was used earlier as the trade route to enter the Kathmandu valley. It stands as a symbol of peace. This pilgrimage site is quite famous among the Buddhist followers. The Licchavi kings built this monument in the 14th century after the demise of Lord Buddha. The followers offer their prayers in the stupa. The Nepalese calls this stupa ChortenGhenpo that means the great stupa. The refugees from China migrated to Kathmandu and from that time onwards the place became an important site.
Pashupatinath temple is one of the most important Hindu pilgrimage sites located on the banks of River Bagmati. It is believed to be 12 jyotirlingas all across India. In the temple, the head of Lord Shiva is placed. It is the soulful reasons for the Hindus to go to this place. The idol of the temple is the mukhalinga covered by the serpent. The linga has four faces that are looking at the four directions. If you are an ardent lover of art and architecture then you will be completely amazed by the wooden craft design of the temple wall.
In the evening you can go for shopping in the local markets.
Day 4: Kathmandu

Unlike your other days, you will be stepping out of your comfort zone. Today you will be going for a hike. After breakfast, you will be driving to BajraBarahi temple in Patan. It is one of the famous temples in the valley. ShriniwasMalla built this beautiful temple in 784BC in Chaitra month. In the midst of the forest, there is a small pond. As per the myth, goddess Bajrabarahi incarnated from the depth of this water. On the left and the right side of the temple, the tourists will find Nawadevata and Mahadev. Due to the dark forests surrounding, this place is famous for bird watching. Godavari Bajrabarahi hike is a few hours hike starting from the place called Chapagaun. You will have to walk along the paddy field and the suburbs. On this hiking trail, the highest point you will reach is 1550m. At the top of the hiking trail, you will get an overview of the capital city. This hiking is also famous because one can catch the glimpse of the three highest peaks called Manaslu, Ganesh Himal and Lirung. On your hiking trail, you will come across Tamang village. While coming across the inhabitants of the village, you will know how efficiently they are sustaining their lives using traditional means. You will hike through the rhododendron trees. If you are a lover of nature then you will definitely love the wild growth of flowers on these forests. Your hiking will end at Botanical Garden of Godavari. Here you will find different species of flora and fauna. If you are traveling during winters, then you can see different migratory birds as well.

Day 5: Drive to Nuwakot

This itinerary is designed keeping a focus on cultural heritage sites of Nepal. After breakfast, today you will be visiting Nuwakot district located in the central part of Nepal on the banks of Tandi and Trishuli River. During the reign of Malla kings, Nuwakot was an important hub to carry out trades with Tibet. In recent times, the architecture which you will find had been expanded during the 18th century. Prithvi Narayan Shah developed this seven storied Nuwakot Durbar and also flourished the expanding trade routes between Tibet and India. In the palace, you will find out the famous Malla style of architecture along with Newari styles. During 2015 catastrophic earthquake, this site was damaged massively.
After visiting the famous palace, you will be trekking across the village of Nuwakot. This city will give you a proper narrative of the historical and architectural storyline. At night you will stay in Nuwakot farmhouse or the accommodation made in village styled rooms. You will really enjoy the environment around you.
Day 6: Bandipur

Today after breakfast you will be driving to Bandipur. It is a small hilltop settlement located in Tanahun district. It is one of the major attractions among the tourists for its exotic location. it is located at an elevation of 1030m. It is located around 143km to the west of Kathmandu. This city is located on the mountain saddle. In ancient times, this place was used for the trading purpose for the Newari traders to come to Kathmandu from Bhaktapur.
Today you will be visiting Thani Mai Temple. The temple shrine is devoted to the local goddess. Usually, the tourists climb up to this place to catch marvelous sunrise glimpses from Gurungche hill. You will get to see the beautiful panoramic view of the mountains. The view of the valley soaked in fog will give you another pleasure to look at. After this, you can go to the local bazaar located in the southwestern part. The bazaar area is quite lively to enjoy. You can also engage in friendly interaction with local residents. At night you will stay in Bandipur.
Day 7: Pokhara

Today you will be driving to another beautiful town in Nepal. This beautiful town is located at the banks of SetiGandaki River. On your way, you will be getting beautiful mountainous views. If you really enjoy nature, then you will see beautiful nature on your drive. Few towns showcase the inner beauty of the mountains around them. Pokhara is one of such cities that show the beauty of the mountains around it. In the evening you can engage in boating at Phewa Lake. You will really enjoy the reflection of the surrounding mountains on the lake.

Day 8: Pokhara

Early morning the tour guide will come and pick you up from the hotel. Then you will be going to Sarangkot for the beautiful view of sunrise across the Mt. Annapurna. Start your morning, with the amazing panoramic view of the mountains. After coming back to the hotel, you will have breakfast.
Later you will be going for the tour around Pokhara city. You will be visiting Bindebasini temple. It is one of the earliest temples located in the city of Pokhara. Kaski rulers built this temple. Goddess Durga is the prime deity of the temple. You will get a complete view of the Himalayas as well from this region. In the area of the local bazaar, you will find out the temple. With the visit to the temple, you will be visiting the old bazar premises as well. You will also go for visiting a waterfall called PataleChongo, located around 2kms away in the southwest direction of Pokhara. In the summers and monsoons, you will get the view of the gushing water falling from the waterfall. Next, you will be visiting the Gupteshwar cave, located just on the opposite side of the fall. If you are an ardent lover of architecture, then you will find this cave fascinating due to its natural forms made out of the deposits of limestone. You cannot take photographs in the premises of the caves.
Optional: If you are an adventure sports lover then you will definitely love the valley of Pokhara. You will get the chance of exploring different adventure sports in the valley. You will experience an adrenaline rush after taking adventure sports like bungee jumping, paragliding, and ultra-light flight.
Day 9: Tansen

Today you will be driving to Palpa district to visit the beautiful town of Tansen located on the western part of Nepal in the hills. This spectacular town is located on the crest of Lesser Himalayas or Mahabharat Range with a proper view of Kali Gandaki river valley. If you love to travel across the winding alleys then you can come across the local Newari culture. Earlier it was the capital of Magar Empire before the rise of the Shah Dynasty. When Magar kings lost power in these states and it became a trade route between Tibet and India. During the Nepalese Civil War, Maoists targeted this place for several times. The local bazaar will be a delightful experience for you to know the local people and their handicraft skillfulness.
At night you will stay in Tansen.
Day 10: Lumbini

Early morning after taking breakfast you will get yourself ready for another pilgrimage site that is popularly accepted by the pilgrims.
As mentioned earlier, the pilgrims of different religious beliefs come across to visit spiritual sites. Lumbini comes under one of such sites quite famous among the Buddhist pilgrims. You will be thrilled to roam around the places where the enlightened one Lord Buddha had roamed in his childhood days. The mythology and history fanatics will love the holy spirits of the space.
In the Terai region of southern Nepal, Lumbini is located. In 623 BC, Lord Buddha took birth in this sacred place. Buddhism and the Mauryan Empire shared an interconnected relationship. You will find those historical inscriptions in the garden of Lumbini. Emperor Ashoka erected pillars with detailed inscriptions of Buddhism on the walls. Mauryan emperor Ashoka after the bloodshed of the Kalinga war preached the teachings of Buddha all across the wall. In the garden complex of Lumbini, you will find Ashokan pillar with its antique inscriptions written in Pali and Brahmi script dated back in 3rd century BC.
A large number of archeological surveys were conveyed in this location to gather significant proofs. The archeological relics proved Lumbini as one of the major pilgrimage centers in Buddhism. The government of Nepal restored all these antique properties and exhibited them as one of the popular sites in front of world tourism.

Early in the morning, you will be driving to Nagarkot. Early in the morning, you can opt for a beautiful sunrise view of Nagarkot. If you are adventurous in nature, you can explore your free spirits across these mountainous terrains. It is a great opportunity for the backpackers to go hiking.
This small village is located around 32km on the east side of Kathmandu. Among the foreign backpackers, Nagarkot is quite famous for its extraordinary scenic beauty. You will enjoy the calm and serenity all around you. In city life we never get pure air, here you will get an opportunity to breathe fresh air. The natural vegetation with a bio-diversified environment can also give you a chance to explore different varieties of flora and fauna.
Nepal has its own architectural styles. If you are fascinated with the old temple architecture, then you can explore such primitive styles in Nagarkot. You can visit Brijeshwari Devi temple, Vajreshwari temple, Mahakali temple. You can also visit the Bhangeri Durbar and its grand palace architecture.
You can also go for hiking towards Changu Narayan temple. The enriched works of temple architecture will easily grasp your attention. This two storied temple showed the primitive Nepalese architecture style. The temple is covered with Champak tree. You will find wide ranges of cultural, religious and social artifacts in the museum of Changu Narayan Temple.
Day 13: Kathmandu

Today early in the morning you will be driving back to the capital city again. In the evening you can visit Pashupatinath temple before leaving this beautiful country.
