Sometime travelers called Kala Patthar trek for Everest base camp trek & Everest base camp trek for Kala Patthar trek. Kala Patthar or black rock is very popular in the world for this great Everest base camp trek. Kala Patthar is the perfect place or zone for Helicopter landing in during Everest base camp helicopter tour. In EBC, there is not suitable or good place for Helicopter landing than Kala Patthar. Autumn and Spring are the best seasons for Everest Base Camp Kalapathar trekking.
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1310m)
Arrival in TIA, Kathmandu, you will finish your custom formalities. Our representative will be waiting for you with a nameplate in his hand. He will greet you and transfer you to the hotel. You will get briefing regarding your itinerary. Have Comfortable stay overnight.
Day 2: Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding (2600m)
As weather remains quite bad during the afternoon, we will take an early morning flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. After 30 minutes of scenic flight close to the Himalaya, we will land at Tenzing-Hilary Airport in Lukla. We will assemble the crew and begin our Everest Base Camp Kalapattar Trek from Lukla. Passing through the region of rocks and Ghat, we will reach Phakding village where we will stay overnight. In Phakding.
Day 3: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (2835m) 6hrs
Walk along Dudhkoshi River, we will make it to pine forest. You need to cross the suspension bridge to reach Zapute village. Crossing Benkar and Chumoa villages, we will reach Monjo which is the popular gateway to Sagarmatha National Park. We will walk through the park to the river. Crossing the Hillary Bridge, we will reach Namche Bazaar where we will stay overnight in Namche Bazar.
Day 4: Acclimatization in Namche
It isadviced that trekker take a day of rest at Namche Bazaar since there will be a sharp increase in altitude from the next day. Namche is also known as the capital land of legendary Sherpas. It has remained the major trade center in between neighboring Tibetans and locals since primordial period. We will visit Thame village where we can witness Sherpa culture in its full glory. Khumjung, Khunde and Khongde are other nearby villages. Stay overnight in Namche.
Day 5: Namche to Deboche (3720m)
Waking up early in the morning, we will hike along Dudh Koshi River enjoying the engrossing views of Everest, Nuptse, Thamserku, Ama Dablam and other Mountains. Passing through the colorful rhododendron forest, we will arrive at Sanasa which is rich in Himalayan wildlife. Brief climbing of the upward trail will take us to Tengboche monastery, the largest monastery in Khumbu region. After allocating some time to view the grandeur of Monastery, we will move further to Debuche where we will stay overnight.
Day 6: Deboche to Dingboche (4412m)
Here the decend and climb combination can be enjoyed From Deboche, we will lower down to Imja River. Climbing the raised path, we will reach Pangboche (3860m) village where we will visit the region’s oldest Pangboche Monastery. From Pangboche, we can see the mesmerizing view of Imja Valley. Following the ascending trail, we will reach Lobuche River from where we will take a sharp climb to Dingboche. We will stay overnight in Dingboche.
Day 7: Acclimatization day in Dingboche (4412m)
This is again a rest and acclaimitization day of rest is recommended in Dingboche. It will help to break the stress of the trek. Dingboche is a summer settlement of locals. Dingboche offers epic views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse and other mountains and peaks. We will also enjoy the view of Imja River from the area. Stay overnight in Dingboche.
Day 8: Dingboche to Lobuche (4940m) 5-6hrs
Head From Dingboche, we will return to Pheriche. From Pheriche, we will take an easy walk to Dugla. The trail continues through steep moraine of Khumbu glacier to Chupki Lhara. We will walk along the memorial site for deceased legendary Everest climber Babu Chhiri Sherpa to Lobuche. The path is scenic with views of Pumori and Khumbutse. Stay overnight in Lobuche.
Day 9: Trek to E.B.C (5364m), Back to Gorekshep (5164m)
You will walk along the glaciated Gorak Shep Lake to the Indian army mountaineers' memorials. Following the rugged terrain that is clustered with dunes and moraine, we will make it to Everest Base Camp. We will enjoy the views of Nuptse, Khumbuste and Pumori Mountains and then return to Gorakshep for an overnight stay.
Day 10: Trek to Kala Pathar (5545m), Return to Pheriche (4250m)
This day trek starts very early i.e., before the dawn, because we expect to reach Kalapattar before sunrise so that we can enjoy the panoramic sunrise view from Kalapathar. Facing the challenges of thin air, we will follow the scenic path with views of Lingtren, Khumbutse, and other peaks to make it to Kalapattar. We will enjoy the close-up view of Everest and amazing sunrise view and then return to Pheriche and take rest.
Day 11: Pheriche to Phortse (3750m)
You will feel a heavy gush of wind usually blows at Pheriche. A brief walk from Pheriche will take us to Phortse. We will enjoy the views of Cholatse and Tawache peaks from Phortse. We will lower down from Pheriche to Phortse. The route is beautiful and scenic with views of wildlife. Visit local monastery and stay overnight in Phortse.
Day 12: Phortse to Namche (2835m)
Then we leave for Phortse, & descend to Phortsethanga. The area is clustered with teahouse settlements. We will lower down through colorful pine and rhododendron forest. Crossing the wooden bridge, we will arrive at Sanasa village from where we will descend to Namche.
Day 13: Namche to Lukla (2800m)
Namche, we will descend to the bridge over Dudh Koshi River and then we will continue to walk up to Monjo. Security officials will check for formalities at the check post of Sagarmatha National Park. We will then return to Phakding. After brief rest, we will return to Lukla. We will return to Kathmandu on the next day. This is a perfect tour to write an article, blog or just carry the memories for your album.
Day 14: Fly back to Kathmandu (1310m)
Breakfast check out and board thirty minutes of an early morning flight from Lukla to Kathmandu. You will return to the hotel. This is a free day for shopping, enjoying the holiday feast. You can spend the day as you wish. Dinner and Overnight stay in Lukla.
Day 15: Departure
Breakfast check out Our team representative will see you for a final memorable good bye You will be transferred to TIA three hours before your scheduled flight. (It is advicable to plan for 3 hours prior to the departure the airport reporting).
