A Hindu and Buddhist pilgrimage tour visits sacred sites in India and Nepal, including temples, monasteries. This tour is a spiritual journey to sacred sites across India, where Hindus visit temples, Monasteries and holy places associated with various deities, immersing themselves in religious rituals and traditions, often with the goal of achieving spiritual enlightenment or liberation (moksha), with prominent destinations including Varanasi, Tirupati, Jagannath Puri, which are considered particularly significant for their connection to the divine. 

Day 01: Arrival in Allahabad

Arrive in Allahabad our tour representative will welcome and greet you and later on assist you to your allotted hotel for an overnight stay. After freshening up for a while you will be taken to the famous Triveni Sangam – which is the confluence point of three of the Holies Rivers in India, Ganga, Saraswati and Yamuna. After taking a holy dip in its water you will be made to proceed on a brief half-day tour of the city. This half day tour will include visiting – Allahabad Fort, Allahabad Museum, Ananda Bhavan and Swaraj Bhawan. Finally, you will be taken back to your hotel for an overnight stay.

 

Day 02: Allahabad – Ayodhya

After breakfast you will proceed towards the ancient town of Ayodhya which is situated at a road journey distance of 4 hours. Here you will be made to visit Ram Janmabhoomi – Birthplace of Lord Ram; Hanuman Garhi; Dashrath Bhawan – the palace where Lord Rama is said to have spent most of his childhood and youth and Kanak Bhawan. You will finally be made to head back to your allotted hotel here where you will be spending the night.

 

Day 03: Ayodhya – Varanasi

Early the morning breakfast check out. You will be driven to the holy town of Varanasi which can be reached after covering a journey of 6 hours. Upon arriving at Varanasi you will be taken on a brief sightseeing tour of some of the most famous temples in Varanasi like Durga Mandir, Mana Mandir, Sankat Mochan Mandir and Birla Mandir. Finally, by evening time you will be assisted for an enlightening Ganga aarti on the famous Dashashwamedh Ghat.

Day 04: Varanasi – Bodhgaya

Early in the morning, you will be taken on a glorious sunrise boat ride on the holy River Ganga. Your morning time will be involved in exploring the narrow and colorful streets and markets of Varanasi city. You will also be made to explore some of the most popular tourist attractions here which include Kashi Vishwanath Mandir. By afternoon you will be made to depart for the wonderful city of Bodhgaya which is situated at a distance of 5 hours. You will be made to immediately check in to your hotel for an overnight stay.

 

Day 05: Bodhgaya – Gaya – Train to Bhubaneswar 

Post breakfast you will be made to visit the famous Hindu temple site of Mahabodhi Mandir which is home to a descendant of the bodhi tree under which Lord Buddha had attained his enlightenment. This site is one of the prime locations for the Buddhist pilgrimage circuit and also a holy centre for Hindus and Buddhists alike. Later on you will be made to proceed on towards the city of Gaya which is situated at a distance of just half an hour. While in Gaya you will be made to visit the famous Vishnupad Mandir, Phalgun River and also perform Pind Daan in memory of your ancestors.

In the evening time you will embark towards the railway station where you will be made to catch a train to Puri, which will be an overnight journey.

 

Day 06: Arrival in Bhubaneswar 

Arrive Bhubaneswar  in the morning and upon arrival you will be transferred to the hotel. After freshening up for a bit you will be made to visit the twin hills of Khandagiri and Udayagiri, Jain temples, elephant cave, lion and queen cave among others which are all 1st-century structures. You also have the option of visiting Lingaraj Mandir, Mukteshwar Mandir, Parshuram Mandir and Rajarani Temple. After a complete day of temple sightseeing tour you will be made to head back to your hotel in Bhubaneswar  for an overnight stay.

 

Day 07: Bhubaneswar  – Konark – Puri

Early morning after your breakfast, check out and drive towards Puri which is located at a distance of 1 hour and 20 mines. En route you will be made to visit Dhauli – a peace pagoda; pipli and the famous Konark sun temple. Upon your arrival in Puri you will be made to check in to your allotted hotel for an overnight stay. By the evening time, you will be made to visit the temple of Lord Jagannath. You will be ending your day on a relaxing and stress-free manner by sitting on the peaceful Puri Beach.

 

Day 08: Puri – Bhubaneswar  Departure

Early breakfast check out & transfer to Bhubaneswar for connecting flight to the onward journey sector
