Day 1: Arrival

After reaching the airport, our driver will meet you at the gate of the airport. The driver will drop you at the hotel where you will be offered welcome drinks. Then you will be given a brief introduction to the itinerary. Kathmandu is one of the oldest historical cities that still exist in today’s time for its archaeological significance. In the evening you can stroll around the alleys of Thamel. It is one of the most attractive locations among tourists. According to UNESCO’s world heritage sites, there are more than 5 heritage sites located around the Kathmandu valley.

You can also visit the temple of Pashupatinath temple to enjoy the pleasing prayer chimes. The cool breeze of Bagmati River will make your stay pleasant in the city. Pashupatinath is the national lord of the country, so it will be an amazing experience to witness the evening prayer of the lord. In this itinerary, you will be visiting every possible cultural heritage site to understand the diversity of the country. The evening prayers of the temple will give you a spiritual upheaval at the very beginning of the trip. You will stay overnight in the capital city.

After enjoying Nepalese delicacies for your breakfast, you will get ready for the capital city tour. You will start your day with the visit to Pashupatinath temple. This temple is quite famous among the Hindus for its religious significance. It is one of the world’s heritage sites as listed by UNESCO. Inside the temple complex, you will find the sprawling amalgamation of ashrams, a temple devoted to different gods and goddesses. During Maha Shivaratri, millions of pilgrims travel to this holy land to pour water on the sacred idol of Pashupatinath.
After Pashupatinath visit, you will be visiting Boudhanath stupa. You will be amazed by the large dome-shaped mandala making it one of the largest stupas in the country. This architectural marvel is believed to be one of the most unique structures in the world. According to UNESCO, it is also one of the world’s heritage sites. This stupa lies on the trade route entering Kathmandu Valley. Therefore the merchants used to take rest around the stupa before reaching Kathmandu city.
Later you will be visiting Swayambhunath temple. It is located on the western part of the capital city. In the Tibetan language, this temple is known as “Sublime Trees” as you can find varieties of trees around the temple complex. For the Newars tribe, it is one of the primary religious locations devoted to Lord Buddha. Dated back from Licchavi period, varieties of temple shrines developed around the temple complex. If you are a dedicated follower of art and architecture, then you will be completely amazed by the influence of Vajrayana tradition on the iconography of Swayambhunath temple. Not only Buddhists but Hindus also consider this temple as a holy site to visit.
At last, you will be traveling to Durbar Square located in Patan. It is also one of the heritage sites as listed by UNESCO for its marvelous architectural skills. The main attraction of Durbar Square is the royal palace of Malla Kings. You will encounter the marvelous architectural skills of Newars. The square cobbled brick streets will be an added opportunity to explore. After entering into Durbar Square, you will completely understand the Newari culture and their lifestyle. At night you will be staying in the capital city.
Day 3: Kathmandu to Pokhara

Early in the morning, you will be driving to Pokhara. It is the second largest metropolitan city of Nepal. Mostly the adventure seekers love this place for its natural beauty. It is said to be paradise for the Mountaineers as one can start the Annapurna circuit trekking from this region. From the city, one can catch the glimpse of a few highest peaks of the world. The complete combination of Himalayan foothills and the wide flow of Seti Gandaki River made this city look beautiful.
On the way to Pokhara, you will be visiting Manakamana temple. It is the sacred temple devoted to Goddess Bhagwati, a cosmic incarnation of Parvati. The temple combines two words “mana” and “kamana” meaning the wishes coming from the heart. Built in the 17th century, this temple is believed to fulfill everyone’s wishes. For the Hindus, this temple holds an important place as the pilgrims believe ardently that the goddess fulfills their wishes. At night you will stay in Pokhara.
Day 4: Pokhara to Jomsom

Distance: 155km (8-9hrs) by road, 15minutes flight

Early in the morning, you will be flying to Jomsom. It is advisable to take early morning flight due to the clear weather. The hotels are located around the airport, therefore; you will have to walk for only 5 minutes. From there you will be to the jeep station to board car for Muktinath. You will be driving through the villages of Ekle Bhatti, Kagbeni and Jharkot to reach the village called Rani Pauwa. You will take around 2 hours to reach Rani Pauwa. From there, you will have to walk for 10-15 minutes to reach Muktinath temple along the course of Kali Gandaki river.
You will also find out the riverbed of Kali Gandaki nearby. It is the source of Shaligram Shila stones which are worshiped all across as the form of Lord Vishnu. This stone is of spiritual significance among the Hindus. After the temple visit, you will go to Mebar Lha Gomba, a small monastery located at the entrance gate of the temple. This monastery of “miraculous fire” is dedicated to Guru Rimpoche. You will also find out the deity of Chenrezig. Inside the shrine, you will find out the burning of natural gas fire. The Hindus worship it as Jwala Mai, goddess of fire. It is believed that Brahma made this miracle fire as an offering. After the temple visit, you will be coming back to Rani Pauwa for lunch. You will stay overnight at Jomsom.
Day 5: Jomsom to Pokhara

The next morning you will be flying back to Pokhara. While traveling to this beautiful country, you will be awestruck with the intact beauty of the neighborhood. Very few South East Asian countries can give you such visual pleasure. With every single day, you will be flabbergasted with the fabulous view of Pokhara. You will feel yourself close to the lap of nature. While backpacking, the travelers start romanticizing nature. This location will give you every opportunity to relish the beauty. When the first rays of morning sun will fall on your face, you will internalize the famous view of the rising sun in the mountains. It will be a breathtaking moment for every traveler when the sunrise behind the snow-clad mountains of Himalayas. After enjoying such a memorable sight, you will be driving back to the hotel.
After taking breakfast, today you will be going for sightseeing around Pokhara. You will be visiting Bindebasini temple at first. It is one of the earliest temples located in the city of Pokhara. Kaski rulers built this temple. Goddess Durga is the prime deity of the temple. You will get a complete view of the Himalayas as well from this region. In the area of the local bazaar, you will find out the temple. With the visit to the temple, you will be visiting the old bazar premises as well. You will also go for visiting a waterfall called Patale Chongo (Davis Falls), located around 2kms away in the southwest direction of Pokhara. In the summers and monsoons, you will get the view of the gushing water falling from the waterfall. Next, you will be visiting the Gupteshwar cave, located just on the opposite side of the fall. If you are an ardent lover of architecture, then you will find this cave fascinating due to its natural forms made out of the deposits of limestone. You cannot take photographs in the premises of the caves. You will stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 6: Pokhara to Lumbini

Early in the morning today you will be driving to one of the most visited places among the Buddhist pilgrims. Lumbini is one of the world’s heritage sites as listed by UNESCO. This auspicious place in Rupandehi district is quite famous among the Buddhist followers. Lord Buddha showed the world his enlightenment. Every year, millions of Buddhist followers travel to a sacred place. Here one will find different Bodh Vihars constructed by different countries like the USA, Indonesia, Myanmar, and Japan to explore the Buddhist religion to all. In the temple complex, you will come across the enriched historical facts of Buddha and his early life. Not only Buddha but here you will also find the inscriptions dedicated to Ashoka. So the entire canon of Buddhist culture and literature is quite vividly described here. At night you will stay in Lumbini.
Day 7: Lumbini to Chitwan

Today you will be driving to Chitwan National Park which is also one of the world’s heritage sites as listed by UNESCO. It is the site where you will find endangered species. After reaching there you will be taking a canoe rafting over Rapti River. It will be an amazing experience to take a canoe ride in the narrow stretch of the water body. If you are lucky enough then you can catch the glimpse of crocodiles taking a sunbath on the shores of the river. At night you will be staying in Chitwan.
Day 8: Chitwan sightseeing

Today early in the morning you will indulge yourself in the wild fantasies of Chitwan National Park. It is said that one comes close to nature when he or she is in the midst of natural resources. One starts thinking that natural resources are the major source of energy in our life. It is a place where you can encounter the wild animals roaming widely all across you. The freedom of such wild space will make you fall in love with the place. Visiting Chitwan National Park will remain incomplete without taking the ride on elephants. Many tourists are quite scared for safety issues, but you can actually feel royalty at the back of these wild elephants. While taking this exciting ride, you can encounter endangered species of flora and fauna.
Elephant bathing is also another activity quite famous among tourists. You will feel at the top of the world while taking a bath from the splashing out of the trunks. It is quite an enjoyable sight for the tourists. You can also indulge in bird watching. If you are traveling during winters, then you can see different migratory birds as well. You can go to a lake called Bish Hajar Taal as well. Here you will find out different species of reptiles.
In the evening you will be visiting the performance of local tribe called Tharu. The cultural night of these local inhabitants will give you exposure to the ethnic cultural practices of the country. If you visit the local Tharu village, then you will come across their shifting cultivation. They are mostly aboriginals who are sustaining on cultivation and plantation of staple crops like corn, mustards, rice, and lentils. They try to stay back to their roots and are dependent on the basic resources of nature for their lifestyle. At night you will stay in Chitwan.
Day 9: Chitwan to Nagarkot

Today you will be driving back to Nagarkot. It is a small village located in the eastern part of Kathmandu on the Bagmati zone. It is the home of the few highest peaks of the Himalayas. The natural beauty of the village will transcend you to a different world. After visiting Nagarkot you will enjoy the serenity of nature.

If you have time then you can hike till Changunarayan temple. If you are an adventure seeker, then you must trek to this beautiful temple. It is said to be the oldest temple of Nepal. The spectacular view of architecture with rich skillfulness of handicraft makes this temple completely outstanding. The architectural venture is quite different from other temple architecture in Nepal. The temple shows its own unique style of marvelous architecture. It is believed to be an authentic Nepali influence of architecture. The stone inscriptions, sculptures make the temple completely amazing to enjoy. In the inner sanctum of the temple, you will find Lord Vishnu. At night you will stay in Nagarkot.
Day 10: Departure

Nepal Visa - The passport holders of India do not require any Nepal Visa. They must carry their Voter ID card or passport (For Indians).
The foreigners will get Nepal Visa on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport. One can also manual apply and online apply just to avoid the long queue.
Transportation: If you are booking your Nepal tour via Nepal Tourism Package, then you will get cars like Toyota Etios, Skoda Rapid, Volkswagen Polo, Tata Manza or similar kind of cars for 1-3 persons. Cars like Tourist Van (Toyota Hiace) or Jeep or Scorpio will be allotted for 10 persons. We will provide Green Plate vehicles for our tourists.
Recommendation - Some tourists avail flight on way to Pokhara from Kathmandu. It is advisable to take at least one way via road to enjoy the enchanting beauty of the natural landscape of Nepal.
