Puja(worship) at Guheshwori Temple – Parvati Temple [Shakti Peeth]
Guheshwari or Guheshwori (Sanskrit: गुहेश्वरी ) is a temple devoted to mother Sati or Parvati. It is one of the Shakti Peeth where mother sati hips or hinds have fallen here. There is also Siddeshwar Mahadev in this temples which is known to be the consort of the mother goddess. It is the place to attain siddhis (enlightenment). Guheshwari is also known as Mahakali, Maha Saraswati, and Maha Laxmi. Mainly the kali form. So she is known as Guhekali, meaning the secret kali. The Kunda(small pond) is known as the main shrine which has not been measured yet.
Puja at the temple is carried out in the Morning and Evening.
Devotees are seen to be chanting and reciting the mantra(hymn) like Durga Saptasati, Chandi path, etc.
There is God Bhairav which is known by a guard or doorkeepers of the goddess.
Inside the temple, various goddess-like matikas, Durga is situated. The temple is situated 10 minutes’ walk from Pashupatinath temple, Kathmandu, Nepal.
