Located in the Indian state of Uttarakhand, the 6310 meter tall famous Adi Kailash mount is also known as ‘Chhota Kailash’. The Shiva Abode Adi Kailash is considered to be with the auspicious significance as Mount Kailash which is situated near Lake Mansarovar in Tibet. In vicinity to the Adi Kailash at a short distance, near Indian, Tibet and Nepal border is the mysterious Om Parvat. Tour Itinerary

Day 01 : Kathgodam to Pithoragarh

To start a trip to Adi Kailash and Om Parvat travellers from different parts of the country will arrive at Kathgodam railway station (554m) which is a main entry point for visiting Kumaon region Uttarakhand. Kathgodam is well connected through road and rail routes with almost all major cities and towns. Kathgodam is an important place and entry point for visiting not only Adi Kailash, Om Parvat Tour and many other pilgrimage sites of Kumaon, Uttarakhand but it is also an important point for those travel on Kailash Mansarovar Yatra via Lipulekh pass.

On reaching Kathgodam, Haldwani the group will drive to Pithoragarh. En route stopover Bhowali for Lunch the group will start its travel to Pithoragarh enroute visiting several important pilgrimage sites including Neem Karoli Baba at Kenchi Dham, Golu Devta Mandir at Almora and Jogeshwar Dham. On reaching Pithoragarh (1627m) stay and food arrangements will be in the hotel.

Day 02 : Pithoragarh to Dharchula

After breakfast the group will depart to Dharchula. Destination is located at a height of 940m meters above sea level, Dharchula is a tiny beautiful town in the lap of the beautiful mountains of Kumaon Uttarakhand. Surrounded by the mountains from all sides, Dharchula is divided in two parts by the Kali River. Travelling through the Indo-Nepal borders today the travellers will enter into the restricted areas of Kumaon for which Inner Line Permits will be organised for the travellers today. During their free time the travellers may go to the Nepal side for explore the Nepal Bazaar. Night stay and dinner will be in the hotel at Dharchula.

Day 03 : Dharchula to Gunji/Nabi

Gunji is a small village situated at a height of 3200 meters above sea level, near India-Tibet border. Gunji is the base station for travellers to visit Adi Kailash and Om Parvat. Kailash Mansarovar Yatra organised by MEA (Ministry of External Affairs), India through Lipulekh pass also goes through Gunji. Today the travellers will drive from Dharchula to Gunji through the beautiful villages of Chialekh, Garbyang and Nepalchu enroute enjoying splendid views of the mountains, waterfalls and rivers. Food and stay will be organised in a guesthouse or home stay at Gunji.

Distance Covered: 70 kms / 3-4 hours drive

Day 04 : Drive to Jyolingkong to visit Mount Adi Kailash

Today the travellers will drive to Jyolingkong (4762 meters) in local jeeps to have holy darshan of mount Adi kailash. On the way to Adi Kailash we will also see Kunti Parvat, Pandav Fort, Brahma Parvat, Pandav Parvat and Parvati Mukut. From Jyolingkong we will walk further for 3-4 kms to visit Parvati Lake (Gauri Kund) and Adi Kailash Temple. One may take a holy dip in the lake and bring the holy water in a bottle. After spending some time here the travellers will drive back to Gunji.

Distance Covered: 65 kms drive + 3-4 kms trek / 3 hours

Day 05 : Drive to Om Parvat via Kalapani/ Dharchula

Today after breakfast, We drive voia Kalapani to visit the Om Parvat, the ‘Om Parvat’ which has the natural occurrence of snow in the shape of ‘Om’ on this mountain. By travelling a distance of about 22 kms the travellers will reach Nabhidang (4340 meters) which is the view point for Om Parvat. Spend some time here and then drive back to Dharchula. While driving back to Dharchula, enjoy the mesmerizing view of Sheshnag Parvat, visit Ved Vyas Gufa and do some puja at the famous Kali Temple situated in Kalapani village. Return to Dharchula for night stay.

Distance Covered: 22 kms / 01 hour drive

Accommodation Style: KMVN Rest House/Hotel (Sharing basis)

Day 06 : Dharchula to Gangulihaat (Patal bhubneshwor)/Sitlakhet/Chakori

Make your way back to another scenic Location. Situated at a height of about Enjoy scenic and spiritual destination  surrounded with natural beauty.

Accommodation Style: Hotel / KMVN Rest House (Double/Triple sharing)

Day 07 : Drive back Kathgodam

After breakfast the travellers will make their return journey to home directly or via Kathgodam. Transfer to Kathgodam will be organised by NTP Tourism Affairs
