Like every year, we have launched our Kailash Mansarovar Yatra in 2025 now. Highly revered for being the abode of Lord Shiva, Mount Kailash is popular among Hindu followers worldwide. The incredible journey to Mount Kailash is considered to be one of the finest pilgrimage activities. Mount Kailash is associated with the holy Lake Mansarovar.for visitors in 2025.

What is Kailash Mansarovar Yatra?

In Hinduism, Mount Kailash is regarded as the abode of Lord Shiva where he resided with his consort Parvarti, and his children Ganesh and Kartikeya. It is significantly noted in the Vishnu Purana, a holy book of Hindus, that the four faces of Mount Kailash are made up of crystal, ruby, gold, and lapis lazuli. It is also symbolized as the pillar of the world and is situated in the middle of six mountain ranges, symbolizing a lotus.

In Jainism, Astapada, the mountain next to Kailash, is said to be a place where the first Jain Tirthankara, Rishabhadeva attained moksha (liberation). In Jain tradition, it is also prevalent that with the attainment of nirvana by Rishabhadeva, his son constructed 3 stupas and 24 shrines of the 24 Tirthankaras with their idols. Those idols are studded with precious stones and named in Sinhnishdha.

The 24th and last Tirthankara, Vardhamana Mahavira, was taken to Meru by Indra after his birth, after putting his mother Queen Trishala into a deep slumber. There he was consecrated with precious functions. Hence the religious significance of Jainism.

The Buddhists also believe this place to be the home of the buddha Cakrasaṃvara (also known as Demchok). The Vajrayana Buddhists consider Mount Kailash, known as Mount Meru in Buddhism, as a symbol of bliss and happiness.

The Bon religion itself is native to Tibet. Bon followers believe that Mount Kailash is the nine-story Swastika Mountain. The axis Mundi, Tagzig Olmo Lung Ring is practiced by the Bon followers in this region.
