Description

Kailash Yatra requires a complete pure soul to accomplish your spiritual needs. We create an image of god out of our spiritual needs. The pilgrims across the world travel to this beautiful land in seeking the blessings of the lord. Once in a lifetime, everyone needs religious solace. Kailash Yatra offers such mental peace that is hard to experience in real life. Kailash Yatra is the journey of faith of an individual. In this journey, a connection with divinity is established. In Hindu religious scriptures, Mt. Kailash is described as the heavenly abode of Lord Shiva and his consort Parvati. Mt. Kailash is a sanctified space where one has to be pure in soul. One travels to this pristine land to catch the glimpse of grandeur manifestation of Lord Shiva. Kailash Yatra comprises of two parikramas, one around Mt. Kailash and one around Lake Mansarovar. Before stepping in the holy sanctum of Mt. Kailash one needs to purify his soul by taking a dip in the holy water of the lake. Unlike other adventure trails, this arduous pilgrimage tour brings the pilgrims close to the almighty. The pilgrims take this tour in search of that spiritual energy. In Hinduism, the idea of moksha is widely celebrated. The pilgrimage tour to Mt. Kailash is believed to attain nirvana. The path of righteousness and spirituality always bring an individual close to the Supreme power. Lord Shiva is believed to be the center of cosmic energy. It is believed that one encounters such heavenly pleasure in this pilgrimage tour. To encounter divine power in life one endures hardship. This spiritual trek also requires a complete dedication of an individual to complete the circumambulation across Mt. Kailash. Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is a spiritual trek where one takes a leap of faith. Kailash Yatra is like a recognition of own self in the path of divinity. It is believed through the eyes of Lord Shiva, one rediscovers own self. In the path of penance, one has to endure hardship. In a similar way, for Kailash Yatra, one has to endure hardship for seeking the blessings of God. The mortal beings always show gratitude towards the ultimate divine strength. Kailash is the heavenly abode of Lord Shiva. Spirituality and religiosity keep everyone to climb up the mountains of Kailash.

What is Kailash Inner Kora by Helicopter?

The Kailash Inner Kora by Helicopter is an overland and aerial pilgrimage that involves flying by helicopter to specific points around Mount Kailash, while bypassing the strenuous trek of the traditional Inner Kora. Pilgrims can get a panoramic view of the sacred mountain and the surrounding areas, experiencing the spiritual energy of the region without having to endure the physical challenges of high-altitude trekking.

How is the Kailash Inner Kora by Helicopter different from the traditional Kora?

  • Traditional Kora: This involves physically walking around the mountain, which can take 3-4 days, requiring you to tackle high-altitude treks and rugged paths.

  • Inner Kora by Helicopter: The helicopter allows you to fly to key points near Kailash, dramatically reducing the physical effort involved while still offering spiritual significance. The route includes overland travel to Kailash, and then a helicopter ride that lets you view the Inner Kora route from the air, while providing access to sacred sites along the way.

How long does the Kailash Inner Kora by Helicopter take?

The entire journey typically lasts around 5 to 7 days, including:

  • Overland journey to reach the starting point at Kailash.

  • Helicopter ride over the sacred areas of the Inner Kora.

  • Visits to sacred sites like Mansarovar and Darchen. This is much shorter than the traditional trekking route.

Do I need special permits for the Kailash Inner Kora by Helicopter?

Yes, as with all visits to Mount Kailash, you will need special permits. These typically include:

  • Tibet Travel Permit to enter Tibet (for foreigners).

  • Kailash Pilgrimage Permit for visiting the sacred areas around Kailash.

  • Helicopter permissions for flying near Kailash. These permits are usually arranged by your tour operator.

What is the best time to go on the Kailash Inner Kora by Helicopter?

The best time to undertake this journey is between May and September when the weather is generally warmer, and conditions are favorable for both the helicopter flight and overland travel. Winters are too harsh, with snow and cold making the trip difficult.

How does the helicopter tour work for the Inner Kora?

  • The helicopter flies pilgrims to key points around Kailash, typically to areas close to the Dolma La Pass or Dirapuk, which are some of the important stops on the traditional Inner Kora.

  • The flight gives pilgrims an aerial view of the sacred mountain and surrounding terrain.

  • Depending on the package, you may still have some light trekking or walking between helicopter landings, especially near Lake Mansarovar or Darchen.

What kind of accommodation is available during the Kailash Inner Kora by Helicopter tour?

Accommodation is similar to the traditional Kailash Yatra:

  • Simple guesthouses or basic lodges will be available in towns like Darchen (the starting point).

  • You may also stay in tented camps along the route, especially during the journey to Mansarovar.

  • Expect basic, functional accommodations as this is a remote area with limited facilities.

What kind of transportation is used besides the helicopter?

The overland part of the tour is usually conducted using 4x4 jeeps or buses. The roads can be rough, and vehicles are typically used for traveling to and from key locations such as Mansarovar, Darchen, and other pilgrimage sites.

Is it safe to take the Kailash Inner Kora by Helicopter?

Yes, the Kailash Inner Kora by Helicopter is considered safe when done with an experienced tour operator. The helicopters used are typically small but reliable, and pilots are well-trained for high-altitude flying. However, safety depends on:

  • Weather conditions: Helicopter flights are subject to weather conditions, so flights may be delayed or adjusted based on the weather.

  • Altitude: Although you’re not trekking, you’ll still be at a high altitude (around 4,500 meters or 14,800 feet), so it’s essential to be aware of the symptoms of altitude sickness.

How physically demanding is the Kailash Inner Kora by Helicopter?

While the helicopter reduces the physical effort of trekking, you’ll still need to be prepared for:

  • High altitudes, which can cause altitude sickness if you're not properly acclimatized.

  • Some light walking between helicopter landings and visiting sacred sites.

  • Basic fitness is recommended, but it’s a less physically demanding option compared to the full trek.

What are the spiritual benefits of the Kailash Inner Kora by Helicopter?

The spiritual significance of the Inner Kora remains intact, as you’ll be close to sacred sites such as Mansarovar Lake, Dirapuk, and Darchen. Flying over these areas allows you to witness the spiritual aura of the region, and many pilgrims believe that flying over the sacred terrain provides them with blessings from the divine, just as walking around Kailash would. It is a more accessible but still spiritually rewarding experience.

How much does the Kailash Inner Kora by Helicopter cost?

The cost of the Kailash Inner Kora by Helicopter can range from $3,000 to $5,000 USD or more, depending on the tour operator, the itinerary, and the services included. This price generally covers the helicopter ride, permits, accommodation, meals, and overland transportation.

Can anyone do the Kailash Inner Kora by Helicopter?

While the helicopter tour is less physically demanding, it’s still important to consider:

  • Age restrictions: Some tour operators may have age limits for participants, typically between 18 and 70 years.

  • Health considerations: If you have significant health problems, especially related to the heart, lungs, or altitude sickness, you should consult a doctor before embarking on the journey.
